Gavin and Stacey and the rest of the gang from both Barry and Billericay are back together in a new image released ahead of the upcoming BBC finale of the hit comedy series.
Smithy, played by James Corden, and Matthew Horne as Gavin are leaning against a brick wall alongside Joanna Page’s Stacey and Nessa, played by Ruth Jones.
The final episode, which will air on BBC One on Christmas Day Announced earlier this year,
The image is reminiscent of photographs of the south Wales seaside resort of Barry Island that were taken for the first series of Gavin & Stacey 17 years ago.
A lot has changed since then. The last time we saw her was five years ago in the 2019 Christmas special, when Nessa got down on one knee, ask smithy to marry him,
But a big question remains. Did he say yes?
Well… the astute among you may have noticed that Nessa is not wearing a wedding ring in the latest photo. But is this a before or after photo, and is Nessa a wedding ring type of girl anyway?
The official synopsis reads, “In Barrie, Brian is preparing Picasso for a trip to Essex.”
“Stacey and Gavin are looking for new ways to make their 17-year marriage work and Gwen is behaving in the strangest of ways. Nessa has started a new business venture and a baby named Neil is apprenticing with his father. “About to start.”

Now it looks like he and Nessa’s son will be helping out with “tilin’, roofing, plasterin’ and feng shui.”
“Pam balks at the prospect of taking on the role of hostess in Billericay, recently retired Mick is unhelpful in practicing his golf swing in the living room and Pete and Dawn’s relationship faces further ups and downs. Are.”
And, most importantly, the Gavin and Stacey team have teased that we may finally find out what happened on the fishing trip.
